The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort was designed by Pete and Alice Dye and opened in 1991, hosting the Ryder Cup that year (the War by the Shore). It has since hosted the Senior PGA Championship in 2007 and the PGA Championship in 2012 and 2021, making it one of the few courses to host all three PGA of America major team and championship events.
