About this site
Golf Course Browser is a free map of every golf course in the United States, about 18,000 of them, with scorecards, USGA ratings and slope, public/private status, live weather, and tee time links where they exist. No account, no ads, no paywall. Open the map, find a course, go play.
Who makes it
One golfer, independently. I built this because finding basic facts about a golf course (is it public, what's the slope, is it even still open) meant bouncing between booking sites that only list courses they sell tee times for, and directories that haven't been updated in years. I wanted one honest map of everything.
Where the data comes from
The base layer is OpenStreetMap, cross-checked and enriched from course websites, public records, and most importantly corrections from golfers who know their local courses. When the data says a field is missing, the site says "missing" and asks for help rather than papering over it. Courses that close get labeled closed, not quietly deleted; a course that shows up on stale directories for years after it was bulldozed is exactly the problem this site exists to fix.
Spotted a mistake?
You know your home course better than any database does. Every course page and map pin has a "Submit a correction" link. Reports go straight to me and usually go live within a day. Corrections from real golfers have beaten every commercial data source we check against, repeatedly.

The site is free and runs on almost nothing. If it saved you some hunting, you can buy me a coffee.
