The South Course at Firestone Country Club, known as "The Monster," opened in 1929 designed by Bert Way and was substantially redesigned by Robert Trent Jones in 1960. It hosted three PGA Championships (1960, 1966, 1975) and was the longtime home of the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
