Founded in 1896 as the Arundel Golf Club, Cape Arundel in Kennebunkport is one of the oldest clubs in Maine. Alexander Findley laid out the original nine holes around 1900, and Walter Travis later redesigned and expanded the course to 18. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. The club is private but welcomes public play, booked by phone up to three days ahead.
