🏛 Designed by Roger Rulewich (2004)
Fighting Joe opened in 2004 as part of the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail, designed by longtime Jones associate Roger Rulewich on land between the Wheeler and Wilson dams on the Tennessee River. The course is named for Confederate-turned-U.S. Army general Joseph Fighting Joe Wheeler, honored by the nearby Wheeler Dam. At more than 8,000 yards it was the first Trail course to break that mark.
