10 Challenging Public Golf Courses in Louisiana

How this list is ordered: we compare public-access courses with course rating, slope and yardage in our directory, using a composite of rating relative to par, slope and listed length. These figures describe aspects of playing difficulty. They do not measure conditioning, value or enjoyment, and this is not an official ranking of the hardest courses. Difficulty depends on the tees you play; our stored figures may represent different tee sets. Private and closed courses are excluded. Resort and semi-private courses may have visitor restrictions, so check with the course before booking.
