Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin was designed by Michael Hurdzan, Dana Fry and Ron Whitten and opened in 2006. It hosted the 2011 U.S. Amateur and the 2017 U.S. Open, the first USGA men's championship awarded to a course under individual ownership.
