Chickasaw Country Club opened in 1922 with a design by William Langford. In 1945 it hosted the Memphis Invitational PGA tournament, the event that ended Byron Nelson's streak of 11 consecutive PGA Tour victories. The course underwent a full renovation in 2018 by architect Bill Bergin, which included new TifEagle greens.
