Chechessee Creek Club, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, is the only course by that design team in South Carolina. The architects set out to create a course of traditional character that would reward thoughtful, imaginative and precise play while showcasing the property's oaks and pines. Its clubhouse, designed by the Charleston and Beaufort firm Thomas and Denzinger, uses an unpretentious Lowcountry cottage style, and the club is walking-only with a caddie program.
