Sleepy Hollow Golf Course
Brecksville, OH
Sleepy Hollow Golf Course is a municipal 18-hole, par-71 golf course in Brecksville, Ohio, playing 6,736 yards with a course rating of 73.3 and slope of 133. It was designed by Stanley Thompson and opened in 1925.
🏛 Designed by Stanley Thompson (1925)
Sleepy Hollow opened in 1924 as a private country club on land leased from Cleveland Metroparks and did not open to public play until 1963. The Stanley Thompson design routes the front nine downhill with the prevailing wind and the back nine uphill into it, so the two nines play very differently despite similar yardage. The course has hosted USGA championship qualifying events and, in alternating years, the Greater Cleveland Amateur Championship.
