Glenmoor's clubhouse was originally Brunnerdale Seminary High School, a Gothic structure built in 1930-31 on land donated by the Race brothers, which closed around 1985 after enrollment declined. The Wolstein family purchased the 381-acre property and existing building in 1989 and spent two years renovating it before the Jack Nicklaus designed golf course opened July 1, 1992. The seminary's former gymnasium and indoor pool, funded by the Timken Foundation, were converted into what is now the Spa at Glenmoor.
