Barrington is a Jack Nicklaus Signature design, with construction beginning in 1992, two years before the club opened in 1994. Unlike most Nicklaus courses, the greens are relatively flat with minimal contour, which the club says makes them harder to read than they appear. The practice facility, with dual tee sections, a driving range and two chipping greens, is among the largest in the Cleveland area.
