A.W. Tillinghast designed the original Upper Montclair Country Club course, which opened alongside a new clubhouse in 1928; Robert Trent Jones Sr. led a major renovation and expansion to 27 holes in the 1950s. The Clifton, New Jersey club has hosted LPGA events including the Sybase Classic (2007-2009) and the Cognizant Founders Cup (2022-2024).
