Plainfield West Nine
Edison, NJ
Plainfield West Nine is a public 9-hole, par-33 golf course in Edison, New Jersey, playing 2,503 yards. It was designed by Tom Bendelow and opened in 1898.
🏛 Designed by Tom Bendelow (1898)
Plainfield's West Nine descends from a course Tom Bendelow built in 1898 for what was then the Hillside Tennis Club. After the club acquired 60 acres in 1916, Donald Ross was hired to expand the layout but instead built an entirely new design, which opened in September 1921. The nine plays to a par of 33 over 2,503 yards, with three par-3 holes running past 150 yards, and is open to public play.
