Pine Valley Golf Club opened in 1914 in Pine Hill, New Jersey, designed by George Crump with input from Harry Colt, A. W. Tillinghast and Perry Maxwell. Crump died in 1918 with four holes unfinished; they were completed in 1922. The 18 hole course plays to par 70 at 7,201 yards, is private with play by member invitation only, and has been ranked first in Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses.
