🏛 Designed by A.W. Tillinghast (1931)
Alpine Country Club began as a project of a group of local civil leaders who commissioned A.W. Tillinghast to design the course, originally naming it Aldecress. Rock formations on the Palisades site required blasting, making it one of Tillinghast's most difficult construction jobs. The membership acquired the property and renamed it Alpine Country Club in 1960, and a comprehensive restoration in 2005 honored Tillinghast's original design while the clubhouse was rebuilt in 2007.
