Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village is a Donald Ross design in the New Hampshire lakes region. In August 1922 it hosted an exhibition match in which Americans Francis Ouimet and Jessie Guilford played the British pair Jack Taylor and Sandy Herd. Herd afterward called it the most beautiful course he had played in America. The course is known for elevated greens, gently sloping fairways and views of the surrounding mountains and lakes.
