Firethorn Golf Club was designed by Pete Dye and opened in 1986 as a private club in Lincoln. Dye singled out the stretch of holes 11 through 14 as among the best consecutive holes he designed. The club also has a separate short course alongside its championship layout, plus tennis, aquatics and fitness facilities.
