Sedgefield Country Club opened in 1926 to a design by Donald Ross. It hosted the PGA Tour's Greater Greensboro Open from 1938 to 1976 and has hosted the tour event now known as the Wyndham Championship every year since 2008, one of only two Ross-designed courses still on the PGA Tour rota. McConnell Golf acquired the club in 2011.
