Crumpin-Fox Club was designed by Roger Rulewich of Robert Trent Jones, Inc. and opened in June 1990, on land conceived in 1969 as David Berleson's Field of Dreams. Rulewich built the front nine and extensively renovated the existing back nine, driving range, and irrigation system, with the original vision aiming for a Pine Valley-type course. Bent grass fairways were installed before opening.
