🏛 Designed by Steve Smyers (1997)
Old Memorial Golf Club in Citrus Park, Florida was founded by Outback Steakhouse co-founders Chris Sullivan, Bob Basham and Bob Merritt, who wanted a course inspired by the seaside links of Scotland and the sandbelt courses of Australia. Architect Steve Smyers was chosen for his traditional, strategic style, with construction starting in August 1996 and the course opening in November 1997. The club takes its name from a nearby highway that was once the only route into the Tampa Bay area.
